Shipping Policy

We aim to dispatch every order as quickly as possible while ensuring your live sourdough starter arrives in the best possible condition.

Processing Times

Orders are typically processed within 1 to 2 working days.

Orders placed on weekends or bank holidays will be processed on the next working day.

During busy periods, such as Christmas or promotional events, dispatch times may be slightly longer.

Delivery

We currently ship throughout the United Kingdom.

Estimated delivery times are:

• Royal Mail Tracked 24: Usually 1 working day after dispatch.

• Royal Mail Tracked 48: Usually 2 working days after dispatch.

Delivery estimates are provided by Royal Mail and are not guaranteed.

Live Sourdough Starter

Our starter is a living culture and is carefully packaged to travel safely through the post.

We recommend opening your parcel as soon as possible after delivery and following the included care instructions.

If your parcel is left somewhere unsuitable or is not collected promptly, we cannot accept responsibility for any deterioration caused by delays after delivery has been attempted.

Shipping Charges

Shipping costs are calculated at checkout and will be displayed before you complete your order.

From time to time, we may offer free delivery promotions.

Delivery Delays

While we always aim to dispatch on time, delays can occasionally occur due to factors outside our control, including:

• Adverse weather

• Postal service disruption

• Industrial action

• High seasonal demand

We appreciate your patience if this happens.

Incorrect Addresses

Please ensure your delivery address is accurate before placing your order.

If an incorrect address is provided and your parcel is returned to us, you may be required to pay the cost of re-delivery.

We cannot accept responsibility for parcels delivered to an address supplied incorrectly during checkout.

Lost Parcels

If your parcel has not arrived within 7 working days of dispatch, please contact us at hello@thesourdoughcult.co.uk.

We'll work with Royal Mail to investigate and, where appropriate, arrange a replacement or refund in line with our Returns & Refunds Policy.

Damaged Deliveries

If your order arrives damaged, please contact us within 48 hours of delivery.

Please include:

• Your order number

• A description of the damage

• Clear photographs of the packaging and contents

We'll review your claim as quickly as possible and work to resolve the issue promptly.
